Frequently asked questions

Ten short answers to what people ask us most.

What is FMV HealthSpace Community?

A community for health and wellbeing, where you can ask questions, find information worth having, and reach specialists from a range of fields.

Here you will find perspectives and experience from the community, and material made by professionals too — articles, educational resources, courses, events and live sessions.

FMV HealthSpace is not a clinic and does not replace seeing a doctor. It is a place that brings people and specialists closer together, so that good information, conversation and support are easier to find.

Is access free?

Your account is free and will stay free. You can take part in the conversation, comment, save material and follow specialists at no cost.

You can explore the platform even without an account: the feed, the specialist profiles, the courses and the sessions on offer are all visible. You need an account only when you want to take part actively – to write, to save material, or to sign up for a course or a session.

Some courses, events and sessions are paid, and the price is set by the specialist who runs them. You will always see the price before you pay, and everything that is free will stay free. We do not change the rules along the way, and you will never be charged retroactively for content you accessed for free.

What does “verified specialist” mean?

The verification mark means we have examined the documents attesting to the specialist's professional training – degrees, licences or certifications – and that these match the specialisation claimed. Every check is carried out by hand, by a member of our team.

That mark is not, however, a guarantee of results or a certification of the quality of the services offered. The platform is not an accreditation body, and specialists work independently, taking responsibility for the recommendations and the services they provide.

If you come across information that strikes you as incorrect, misleading or potentially dangerous, please tell us. We will look at it carefully and, if necessary, we can withdraw verified specialist status.

Can I get a treatment or a diagnosis here?

No. The information published on the platform, and the replies given by community members or by specialists, are informative and educational only. They are not a medical consultation and cannot replace the assessment, diagnosis or recommendations of a professional who examines you directly.

If you are facing a medical emergency or severe symptoms, call 112 immediately or go to the nearest medical facility. Do not wait for an answer on the platform.

Likewise, do not start, stop or change a treatment on the basis of information read here. Any decision about your treatment must be taken together with the doctor or specialist who follows your health.

How do I join as a specialist?

Joining as a specialist takes two simple steps, one after the other.

In the first step, you create your account and select the “Specialist” option when you sign up. The account is created as a member account to begin with, so that you can use the platform and the community from the very start. Creating the account does not, however, mean automatic approval as a specialist.

In the second step, you fill in the specialist application. You will be able to select one or more specialisations, add a short professional introduction and the relevant information about your training and experience: qualifications, certifications, years of experience and where you practise. Here you will also indicate the country in which you work, because professional titles and the conditions for practising may be regulated differently from one country to another. You can likewise choose whether you would like to take bookings through the platform.

Every application is reviewed by hand, by a member of the team, not by an algorithm. You will receive the answer both by e-mail and through the notifications on the platform. Until the review is complete, your account stays active as a member account and you can carry on using the community.

Once approved, your profile receives specialist status, and you can publish and share professional content on the platform: articles, courses, video material or live sessions.

For inclusion in the Specialist Directory and for verified profile status, the documents attesting to your professional training must also be checked. They can be uploaded from Studio → Qualifications.

The documents are checked by hand, one at a time, and are treated confidentially. They are accessible only to the team responsible for verification and are never shown on your public profile.

If you would like to sign up a practice, a clinic, a centre or another organisation, the process is similar, except that you fill in the form dedicated to organisations, which asks for information about the legal entity and its activity.

We want FMV HealthSpace to be a community built on trust, transparency and professional responsibility. For that reason we look carefully both at specialists' qualifications and at the way they present their work and communicate within the community.

Health, nutrition and wellbeing are fields that can directly influence people's decisions. That is why we prefer a careful and responsible review, so that members of the community can trust the professionals, the information and the services they discover on the platform.

How do I pay, and who is actually selling to me?

Payment goes through Stripe. Your card details never pass through our servers and we never see them.

The seller is the specialist, not us. When you buy a course, a file or a seat at a session, the contract is between you and its author; we run the shop, process the payment, and keep a commission out of the same transaction.

The price shown is the final price you pay, in the currency shown. It is fixed per currency and is not recalculated at today's exchange rate.

After payment you get access immediately — the course opens, the file downloads, the seat is reserved — and the order stays in Purchases. If the specialist withdraws the content later, what you already bought stays available to you.

Can I get my money back?

Yes. If there is a problem with a purchase, you can send a request straight from the order page, using the “Ask for a refund” button. If the request is approved, the amount goes back by the same payment method you used, and access to the product, course or service you bought is withdrawn.

At checkout we will ask you to tick a box requesting immediate access to the digital content and confirming that you understand that, under the law, you are giving up the right of withdrawal within 14 days. This rule applies to digital products delivered immediately after purchase. The confirmation is saved and you also receive a copy by email.

What that confirmation does not cost you is the right to receive exactly what you bought. If the material will not open, does not work, is incomplete, or differs significantly from the description shown before the purchase, you can ask for your money back. This right is granted by law and is not affected by the confirmation of immediate access.

In other situations, the decision about a refund belongs to the specialist who offers the product or the service. If a problem comes up, please contact us before disputing the payment with your bank. In most cases we can find a quick and fair solution, and the process is far simpler for everyone.

How do live sessions work?

Sessions run straight in the browser, with no application to install. At the scheduled time you open the session page and can join with a single click.

You register in advance, because the number of seats may be limited. If the session is paid, access is confirmed once the payment has gone through.

In some situations the host may record the session. If that happens, you will be told clearly beforehand and throughout the recording. You can always turn off your camera, mute your microphone, or leave the session if you prefer.

To protect the privacy of everyone taking part, recording the session on your own without the agreement of the people involved is not permitted.

If I sell here, what does the platform keep?

You can choose between two pricing options:

  • No subscription – you publish for free and pay a commission on each sale.
  • Creator subscription€19.99 or 98.99 RON a month, with no commission on sales.

As a rule, if you sell less than roughly €200 a month, the commission option is usually the better deal. Above that figure, the commission-free subscription can become the better choice. You do not have to do the arithmetic: under Billing you will see the recommendation that fits your own sales.

Payments arrive directly in your Stripe account, which you set up once, when you enrol as a specialist. If you are on the commission option, it is calculated at the moment of each sale and stays fixed for that transaction. If you change plan the following month, the commission on sales already made does not change.

If your profile is associated with a regulated profession, such as doctor, dietitian, pharmacist or physiotherapist, you can publish content for free at any time. To sell products or services under that specialisation, however, we need to verify your professional documents first.

What happens to my data?

Everything you choose to publish on the platform is publicly visible. The documents you upload for the verification of your qualifications, on the other hand, are accessible only to the team handling that process and are never shown on your profile.

Your card details never reach us. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, and the payment information is handled directly by them.

If at some point you decide you no longer want to use the platform, you can delete your account at any time under Settings. Deleting the account also permanently removes the data associated with it, including your posts, comments, likes, saved material, the courses you created, your profile photo and the documents uploaded for verification. This information cannot be recovered afterwards.

If you want to know more about the data we process, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it, you will find everything in the Privacy policy.
